get to和arrive at和reach的区别

这几个动词都可以表示到达，但是它们的用法是不一样的。

get这个字表示到达的时候，它是不及物动词，后面配介系词to，如：

Generally I get to work at 9.30am...

我通常上午9点半到单位。

It was dark by the time she got home.

她回到家时天已经黑了。（get后面接地点副词here、there、home的时候，不用任何介系词）

arrive也是不及物动词，后面配介系词at或in，at接的是比较小的地方，如办公室、学校等，而in后面接比较大的地方，如城市，国家等。如：

in the old days before the European settlers arrived in the country

在欧洲殖民者来到这个国家之前的旧日时光

A young student newly arrived in England from New Zealand.

有位年轻学生从新西兰初次来到英格兰。

reach表示到达，是及物动词，后面一定要加宾语，宾语是到达的地点，不用介系词，如：

He did not stop until he reached the door.

他走到门边才停下。

When the bus reached High Holborn, Tony rang the bell and they jumped off together...

当公交车到达海霍尔本站时，托尼摇响了铃，他们一起跳下了车。
