spent took paid cost 的区别

took 、spent 、cost 、 paid 都是动词过去式，都有“花费”的意思，它们可互换，但它们的用法不同。

1、took 的原形是take ，作为“花费”时，常见句型“It takes sb some time to do sth ." 花费某人多长时间做某事”。

2、spent 的原形是 spend ,主语是人，常与on sth / in doing sth 连用，即 “人+spend +时间/金钱+on sth / (in) doing sth " 某人花费……做某事”。

3、cost 的原形也是cost ,主语是物，即“物+cost sb +金钱”。某物花费某人……做某事。“

4、paid 的原形是pay ,主语是人，常与for 连用，即”人+pay +金钱+for sth "。某人花费……做某事。

如：

1). It took me two hours to finish the work last night .

=I spent two hours finishing the work last night.

昨晚花了我两小时完成这项工作。

2). He spent ten yuan buying the book .

= He spent ten yuan on the book.

=He paid ten yuan for the book.

=The book cost him ten yuan .

他花十元钱买这本书。
