NO和NOT的区别是什么

1、词性不同

not是副词，主要用于为 中的动词的否定式。

例句：He does not have friends here.

他在这里没有朋友。

no是形容词，用作前置定语限定名词。

例句：They sold no orange.

他们一个橘子也没卖。

2、语气强弱不同

no的语气要比not强很多，带有强制性的意思。在某些系表结构中，用not只表示一般的否定，用no则语气较强，可译为“决不是”。

例句：He’s not a poet. 他不是诗人。

He’s no poet. 他决不是诗人。

3、用法不同

非谓语动词的否定式，通常用not而不用no。

例句：The teacher told him not to be late again. 老师叫他不要再迟到。

Not having received an answer, he decided to write another letter to her. 由于没接到回信，他决定再给她写一封信。
